Abstract

The purpose of this work is to look at ways through which postgraduate research writing can be enhanced using artificial intelligence (AI). Though AI has been around for some time, the quantum leap of advancement in computing in recent years has made it possible for AI to revolutionize numerous fields of human endeavour.

The focus of this paper shall be on how AI tools help to improve the quality, efficiency, and accessibility of postgraduate research writing.

AI tools come in handy at various stages of research writing, from literature review, data analysis to editing. Research ideas are developed, refined and arguments structured by the interaction of man and machine to ensure precision, and to reduce required time effort.

However, AI also raises some ethical questions, such as the erosion of academic integrity and over reliance on technology. This paper discourses the various aspects of the benefits of AI to legal research writing and the challenges, then proffers recommendations for the ethical use of AI in postgraduate legal research writing.
