CONFLICT RESOLUTION ON CONSTRUCTION SITES IN BAUCHI, NIGERIA

Abstract

Conflict resolution on Nigerian construction sites is challenging due to the negative impacts of construction conflicts, including delays, weakened team spirit, increased expenses, and strained relationships. This research aims to determine how conflict can be resolved on construction sites in Bauchi, Nigeria. The objectives of the research were to determine the relationship between conflict resolution and construction sites in Nigeria and to ascertain the nature of conflict resolution in the construction site. The data used for this research were collected through the distribution of questionnaires using a random sampling procedure. To determine the direction of the response, frequency, and simple percentage methods were used in the analysis. It was concluded that conflict can be resolved in the construction sites, conflict resolution should be given proper attention, and therefore it is recommended that much focus should be placed on conflict resolution to reduce the degree of conflict in construction.
