The study adopt descriptive survey design and quantitative approach was used and data were collected through questionnaire. Data collected were analysed using SPSS software version 22. The result of the research revealed that provision of adequate competency-based trainers was rated the most important strategy, suggesting that qualified trainers are essential for effective skill development. Periodic capacity building for practicing artisans, regular training and development programs for existing artisans was considered crucial for maintaining and enhancing their skills. The study concluded that experienced male builders in their 40s, primarily enrolled in advanced degree programs, which are regulated by CORBON and have a significant track record in the industry, are the predominant participants in quality assurance initiatives. The study finally concluded that by prioritizing NSQ quality assurance, career progression, competitive wages, stakeholder recognition, and proper implementation of National occupational standards (NOS), organizations can create a compelling environment that attracts and retains skilled artisans, fosters collaboration, and drives overall efficiency. Construction industry should invest in NSQ training and assessment by allocate resources for regular training and certification programs to ensure artisans are equipped with the latest skills and knowledge. There is need for government to institutionalize the National Skills Qualification (NSQ) framework and promote its adoption within the building construction industry. This will ensure that artisans have access to standardized training and certification, to addressing skill shortages and improving quality project delivery.
