Abstract

Investing in entrepreneurship education is a mechanism for archiving sustainable development in identified a dire requirement for comprehensive orientation of institutions with the major aim of improving entrepreneurship mentality of the timing youth. This paper therefore examines the assessment of entrepreneurship education on sustainable economic development in Nigeria. The study discussed the concept of entrepreneurship education, entrepreneurship skills and nexus between entrepreneurship education and sustainable development. The paper employed documentary as a means of data collection. The work anchored on Human Capital Theory. It was concluded that sustainable economic development could only be achieved through entrepreneurship training and learning which could metamorphosis into job and wealth creation. This study recommends that government should create enabling environment to allow entrepreneurship development prospect in Nigeria. If done, it will allow job opportunities, employment and poverty reduction.
