Abstract

The Nigerian judicial system plays a pivotal role in upholding justice, but the public often struggles to differentiate between justice and judgment. This study examines how the masses perceive judicial decisions in Nigeria, explores the disconnection between public expectations and judicial outcomes, and evaluates the role of education in driving judicial reforms. Using a qualitative research design, the study identifies systemic challenges such as corruption, political interference, and limited civic awareness as major barriers. It highlights the need for educational initiatives to bridge the gap between the judiciary and the public. Recommendations focus on judicial transparency, civic education, and the development of a more participatory judicial system to ensure alignment with societal expectations and democratic principles.
