Abstract

This article is a critical examination of the moral implication of prosperity preaching on the youth. The article recognises the reality of prosperity preaching among most Christian denominations, and highlights some of the factors that promote this non-Christocentric and false message of materialism. With a critical examination of some negative effects of prosperity preaching on both the youth and the society at large, the article recommends adequate formation of conscience as a means to tackle the problem.
