In the 21st century, collaboration between artists and technologists has become an important driver of innovation, economic growth, and cultural sustainability. The fusion of artistic creativity and technological expertise has given rise to new industries, enhanced cultural visibility, and preserved heritage through digitization and innovation. Central to this collaborative potential is human capital, which provides the skills, knowledge, and entrepreneurial capabilities necessary for interdisciplinary innovation. This paper examines the role of human capital in fostering artist-technologist collaborations, exploring how such synergies can drive inclusive economic growth while preserving cultural identity. Drawing on theoretical perspectives and global case studies including Africa and Nigeria—the study highlights the opportunities, challenges, and policy directions required to harness this potential for sustainable development.
