Abstract

This study examines the effectiveness of second income strategies as a solution to the persistent problem of salary payment delays in Nigeria. Through a comprehensive literature review and analysis of recent studies, we explore the prevalence of salary delays, the impact on workers and the economy, and the potential of various second income approaches. Our findings suggest that strategies such as online freelancing, small-scale trading, and entrepreneurship can significantly improve financial stability for affected workers and contribute to broader economic growth. However, challenges such as digital infrastructure limitations and educational barriers must be addressed for successful implementation.
