VOCATIONAL EDUCATION: A STRATEGY FOR NATION BUILDING

Abstract

This paper is on vocational education. A conceptual clarification was given on the concept of vocational education, its typology, objectives and principles. In addition, roles played for the nation’s building were vividly explained by the paper. These roles were viewed from the economic, social and political points of view. In conclusion, the paper spelt out number of predicaments that hinder the speedy attainment of the nation building in Nigeria.
