In Nigeria, despite enormous cost incurred in designing and erecting structures, most of them were reported to have little to none landscape facilities integrated in them. This study assessed the state of landscaping elements integrated in public buildings in tertiary institutions in Nigeria: A Case Study of Federal Polytechnic Mubi, Adamawa State. Qualitative design using inference case studies and structural observational checklist, was the instrument used for data collection, while the results were presented in plate, tables, frequencies and percentages. Findings revealed that, 67% of the landscape elements including walkways/paths, outdoor seating, shade structure, and indigenous planting were available, while 33% majorly water features and green spaces are not available. The result also indicates that, all the landscape elements are not adequate in the case study area. In conclusion, the government and school authorities should prioritize the integration of landscape in all public buildings in tertiary institutions and there should be adequate maintenance of existing hard and softscape elements to ensure sustainability.
