Technological innovations have greatly impacted and changed the way things are done in our lives today. This change cut across all spheres of human endeavor production, medicine, advertisement and even military warfare. Augmented Reality (AR) as one of these innovations, it is a technology which overlays digital information onto the real world thereby enhancing the user’s experiences. In this research work which is purely a position paper, the prime concern is on how AR can be applied to enhance the teaching-learning process through its interactive and immersive content. The researchers reviewed relevant literature adopting the Multimodal learning theory (CTML). With AR gradually becoming more teacher, learner and cost friendly in addition to being accessible, effective, and essential it was recommended that education administrators and policy makers ensure that every class and school be connected to the internet
